POSITIVE IMPACT PROJECT - SESSION 2:
EVERYDAY LEADERSHIP
Session 2 of the Positive Impact Project looks at how we can be leaders every single day by completing small acts of service and kindness for others in our community. Throughout this session you will start to consider what type of leader you would like to be, and what leadership means to you.
“A SCHOOL GROWS GREAT WHEN STUDENTS PLANT TREES WHOSE SHADE THEY KNOW THEY WILL NEVER SEE.”
ACTIONS TO TAKE:
After watching the video you are to share what your leadership metaphor was (image below) with someone around you, followed by some of you sharing with the group. Remember, there are no right or wrong answers here.
After this group discussion, turn to page 3 in your Positive Impact Project workbook. Leaders, you are to make groups of 3 and complete the ‘Leadership Qualities Word Elimination’ by discussing each pair of words and selecting which of the 2 you think is more important for leadership. Once the entire group is complete, have an open discussion so each group can share why, and how, they narrowed the 32 words down to the 1 they chose.
