POSITIVE IMPACT PACKAGE

HELPING YOUR STUDENT LEADERS MAKE A POSITIVE IMPACT IN 2022

“It is a highlight of the year working with the UPP team. They consistently deliver a highly engaging, tailored program that empowers students to believe they can achieve great things and make positive impacts in their school community.”
— Dylan Sulzer - Acting Head of Department - Junior School - Kelvin Grove State College
“It was absolutely incredible. I was blown away by the attention to detail, careful balancing of theory and practice, the carefully sequenced activities that built towards independence, the quality of the presenters, the workbook - everything. It was just so good, so impressive. Went way beyond what I expected. It was like you developed the ideal version of what I wanted the session to be, beyond what I thought could be included. So impressed. You all went above and beyond for this one.”
— Daniel Pozarik - Classroom Teacher - Randwick Public School, Sydney
“Unleashing Personal Potential’s Positive Impact Program allowed our aspiring student leaders to develop knowledge and skills to influence their peers and deliver a project for their school community. They worked in teams to identify how they could have a positive impact through their actions and learnt so much through the reflection and evaluation process that is built into program. Practical, fun, challenging and potentially life changing. The presenters connected with our students and gave direction, but our students delivered the impact. Highly recommended for all schools.”
— Tracey Hopper - Head of School - Cleveland District SHS
“It has been a pleasure working with UPP over the past four years with the City Cluster Student Leadership program. This program supports student leaders from 14 different Primary schools to develop and lead an impact project that benefits their entire school community. The workshops are positive, full of energy and offer direction and strategies for effective leadership and project planning. I highly recommend UPP to any school wanting to grow their student leadership culture.”
— Deb Williamson- Deputy Principal- Queensland Academy of Creative Industries and Coordinator of the City Cluster Leadership Program

UPP’s Positive Impact package for Primary schools is a transformative, flexible package for schools who want an AUTHENTIC, RELEVANT, LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT EXPERIENCE for their students.

This package has been designed to help your student leaders to:

DETAILS AND OPTIONS FOR YOUR SCHOOL POSITIVE IMPACT PACKAGE

This package has been mapped against ACARA’s Personal and Social Capability and addresses each of the 4 elements. Through UPP’s Positive Impact package, you will unify your senior students (and teachers) with a common language about leadership, and an agreed understanding of leadership qualities. Furthermore, your students will consider the 17 Sustainable Development Goals and align their POSITIVE IMPACT PROJECT with one of these challenging global goals, at the local level.

There are two options for implementation. Option 1 includes Face to face workshops, plus online training modules, while Option 2 is only the Online training modules. Each are explained below.

**OPTION 1- FACE TO FACE WORKSHOPS + ONLINE TRAINING MODULES**

This full service option involves multiple face to face workshops, delivered by UPP at your school, as well as online support resources in order to support your students in their POSITIVE IMPACT PROJECT throughout the year.

The workshops are run by UPP at your school and delivered directly to the whole cohort of students. The best venue for the face to face workshops is your school hall (or similar), as we use a learning, action, reflection process throughout the sessions. For the greatest impact, we recommend that classroom teachers are present and involved for the duration, as this has many benefits to the students and school moving forward.

This option, which is new for 2021, allows schools to use UPP’s frameworks, principles and process to guide their students through the IMPACT PROJECT, so that they can make a POSITIVE IMPACT at the local level.

The online option is best for schools who would like to develop the leadership skills of a small group of formal leaders and is more affordable for schools.

“The UPP facilitators win the students over with their passion, enthusiasm and encouragement. Students develop skills through meaningful yet engaging activities in a safe environment. Students walk away motivated and driven to be leaders of change within their school communities. The project gives students the skills to identify a need within their school community and then plan and lead initiatives to respond to this need. Finally they have the opportunity to feedback the learning of their journey and initiative to the other participants. In addition, friendships made throughout the Pilot Project in 2018 were reported to still be strong over a year later, according to various school staff.”
— Tracy Blanchard - School Counsellor and Wellbeing Coordinator- Ryan Catholic College
“WOW! Brilliant! Pete had the kids’ attention and they were motivated and fully engaged. We look forward to booking you in next year. Thanks for such a great service.”
