POSE LIKE A STATUE
GIVE STUDENTS A VERB (E.G. RUNNING, SLEEPING, ROLLING ETC.)
STUDENTS THEN HAVE TO TRY AND REPRESENT THE ACTION GIVEN IN A STATUE POSITION.
THE TEACHER THEN PICKS A STUDENT WHOSE STATUE BEST REPRESENTS THE ACTION AND THAT STUDENT GETS TO CHOOSE THE NEXT ACTION TO GIVE TO THE CLASS.
REPEAT 3 OR 4 TIMES.
PURPOSE: AFTER A LUNCH OR RECESS BREAK YOUNG PEOPLE CAN FIND IT HARD TO CONCENTRATE. USE THIS ACTIVITY TO GET STUDENTS BACK TO A PLACE WHERE THEY CAN CONCENTRATE AND LEARN.
